take another look at the FMX tranny

If any of you who haven't seen it yet, there's a Ford transmission forum associated with the FordFE.com website. There's great info if you're looking to fix, replace, swap-out your tranny.

What I found real interesting is that some of the professional tranny guys are saying is the FMX is one of the best transmissions out there and can handle a lot of abuse - losing about the same hp as the C-4 @ 28hp* - while the C-6 eats 55-60* hp!

I'm going to do a little more research first. If this is right, I'm skipping the C-6 for an upgraded FMX.
