The master sticks out into the engine compartment far enough to attach the line to the slave. It's mounted like that in the mustang I pulled it from too.

Bigfreeb wrote:Did you like how the Exploder rear end worked out for you? I was wondering about the offset center making the driveline go off at an angle. I have a '02 crown vic rear and a Explorer rear still trying to decide how I want the wheels to set positive or negative. Also I see you posted the master/booster/valve from ebay but did it say it was for any particular vehicle combo? Very cool build you have done great work on this bump.
The engine is in stock crown Vic mounts, and sits about 1.5" offset to passenger side anyway. I don't know how much more the rear is offset but no issue that I know of.

The master/booster is for a 67-72 ford truck. Thanks!

You can see it right below the reservoir protruding through the firewall (left of booster). It has a braided line going to the slave.

Ken here from BuildThreads, Inc.

Congrats and nice work Coupe5oh - this build thread was chosen as a Best Build Thread pick for this week. Image

What this means is that a bunch of guys who like to build stuff (cars, trucks, 4x4s, bikes, cabins, boats, planes, and garages) and have read a ton of build threads, thought that this build thread makes a valuable contribution to online DIY culture.

So, without further ado:

Congrats again and cheers! Image

Killer build. I just read this whole thread from start to finish and am totally impressed. Love the stance and the color is spot on.

It's no slouch, I've added a set of the hotrod cams since its been finished. The motor is 340 hp stock I believe. I also just recently bought a used whipple HO setup for it... So should be tons of fun when I get it put on.

Looks great. How does she run??

Also, noticed you swapped master cylinders. What prompted that? Performance or Clearance?

Thanks. I changed the master cylinder because it hit the throttle body after it was relocated. I've been telling everyone it's the best part of the whole install. Got rid of the clunky corvette style POS that I've hated since I built it.

Took it Monday and had it tuned. It made 457 hp and 430 tq at the wheels.

Thats a good looking MC, do you have a part number?

I am interested in knowing what all has been done to the motor to reach those number? Is it still pretty streetable?
