F250 Lift Coils

Post by travis6370 »

Quick question, my 69 was an F250 from the factory. Well the previous owner swapped disc brakes on the front from a 78 and the rear axle from the 78 as well so now it has five lugs. During that process would they have had to change out the front coil springs to F100 coils or would they have been able to leave the F250 coils? I plan on getting some lift coils to level out my truck that way, put on some bigger tires for better highway traveling. What do y'all think he would have done during the swap?

I went to Moog Spring's web site, and it looks like the '69 F250 and '78 F100 used the same front coils. The '78 did have another option, but I didn't have time to follow through on it. So it looks like it probably didn't matter if he kept the old springs, or used the new ones, they were probably the same (or very similar).
