OK, So from your other post you said some shop wanted to charge you 5,000 to convert to a later Dana 60 front axle and power steering and you get disk brakes and open knuckle hubs to boot. and you paid 3,000 for the truck. so for 8,000 you get to keep your highboy and get all the upgrades a guy could want in his highboy truck. front Dana 60 axle ( more than adequate for your snow plow ) disk brakes in front ( a wonderful thing to have) ball joint knuckles, ( much easier to service) and power steering ( I wish I had power steering in my highboys) All for less than 1/3 of the cost of buying something used where your going? Sounds like you should just spend the money and enjoy the piece of mind, And I believe piece of mind is worth a Million dollars.
