Congratulations, now keep at the house hunt. The one thing I can say about the house hunt is find the area you want first, you can always make the house work. The perfect house is no good in the wrong place. Just my two cents.

Congrats on the title that is cool to have. Don't have to have one in Georgia but still got mine. Good luck with the house.

I did stop out at the '70 this weekend to determine what transfer case the truck has. Found out it has a Dana 24 transfer case. I need to find a rear drive shaft for the truck. I'm very curious to see if the truck will move under it's own power, but I don't want to hurt anything either. Since it's been sitting so long...
So if anyone reading happens to have a rear drive shaft for a F-250 4wd with a Dana 24 Transfer case, let me know!

Still waiting on the title to arrive.

Thanks again for the interest!

Good to see things are moving forward and good luck on the rebuild. I'm in the middle of the restoration on my F250 4x4 so I know your excited to get started. If you plan to rebuild the Dana 24 and NP435 let me know as I did mine and could and may be able to give you a few tips.

Thanks Cstoyer! I will certainly keep that in mind! Turns out the property that I am storing the '70 on has a rear driveshaft he will let me buy for $100. I'm going to see if I can talk him down to $75, then I'll stop some warm-ish weekend and swap them out. Ill also want to drain the oil (currently a very thick sludge) and replace the bottom radiator hose, and fill with coolant before trying to fire it up...
That's the plan for now anyhow.

Sadly, no. We haven't even looked at any recently. The area is a really tough market to buy in. Once a house is listed you pretty much have to look at it and put a bid in the same day it is listed or someone can buy it out from under you. We've had it happen a few times already.
Nothing has been listed lately in the area we want to buy, so sadly, there are no updates to tell on the home front issue :o

Hey,

It has been a few years but when I was building mine, I got a lot of parts from Brian Horner's Stateline Auto Parts over in Sugar Grove.

Ya gotta go all the way up the hill and take a slight left... he kept the old stuff up there. I picked up a divorced 205 and lots of other parts there.

Smethport/Coudersport had some decent junk yards that aren't as picked over. I also picked up a KingPin HP D60 from there for $100, so you never know what you will find.

Good luck! I know the challenge you are facing ... NWPA is a real rust bucket!

Well, not much of a physical update, but I am making progress on a couple issues.

1. I got the title in the mail a couple days after Christmas, so that's good that it's officially mine! (only took two months to process  )

2. We looked at a house last week and they have already accepted our offer, so if all goes well, the bump will have a new home!

3. A friend that I've sold/traded parts with a few times found a whole parts truck for $600. We are discussing going in halves on it; he would take the bed/hood and I would take cab/doors/fenders, and I would do all the driving/transporting.

Things are lining up, hopefully all goes well!
