Old Blue 69 F100 Project

Post by 69f-100 »

I've been working on this 69 f100 for quite some time now, but I'm starting to make some headway now. I've done everything myself, except for the most expensive part, the body work. I've taken that part of it to a local body shop named, (Jason Dietsch Collision & Customs & Sales) that I know and trust to do that part. I've got the frame, suspension, drive train, engine, and transmission all done as of now. I've got plenty of before and after pictures of the progress, that's still ongoing now. I still have a lot of work to do when she comes back, but at least I'm heading in the right direction now. I've had plenty of questions that plenty of good people on here have gladly helped me answer.( To those people I say thank you), and i'm sure i'll have plenty more. Take a look at how it's coming along.
Ryan

Thank you, I've been doing the best I can with everything other than the body. The shop that's doing it is doing a great job, I think anyway.

Thanks, it's not finished yet, so I don't have the final bill yet.

Hope you don’t think it’s a rude question. But my mind boggles at prices of paint jobs/bodywork etc.
Then I see TV shows throwing out numbers like 30, 40, $50,000 for these things.

No not at all, can't give you an exact figure, but you're in the ball park.
Keep in mind also they are just doing the body work, I'm putting everything back together myself. I also took it to them completely bare, just the shell on frame.

Wow. That is really impressive. Way above my skill level with all that metal repair. I love the shade of blue you have chosen! Can't wait to see her finished!

Thanks, I don't have that skill level either when it comes to body work. So I chose a local shop that I like to do that part. They're doing an awesome job so far. The color is ""Ford blue flame", it what used from 2009-2016. I think it's looking pretty good on this old pickup.
