1970 f100 drag truck!

Plan with the truck is keep the 5.0 for now and just build a turbo kit for it do some little things to help hold the motor together just to get the truck dialed in, then go big block. that being said I have a long way to go. What I have done already is cut the frame in half and went with tubular back half, crown vic front end swap and chopped the bed a little bit along with narrowed the 9''.

suspension
keep the stock struts to see how they work but go with Viking double adjustable coil over for the back not sure on a size or anything will be getting ahold of them shortly to find out.
rear axle
I went all quick performance with them but kept the stock housing just narrowed it might end up getting an aftermarket housing down the road just not now. 35 spline axles full spool 4.10 gears I also got their weld on brake kit
front end
For that I just went simple and did crown vic swap for now if I have to change it up down the road I will but for now I think it will work.
went with a jegster 12 point roll cage for a 77-79 f150 should have some trimming to do but should work. Also went with a jegs seat and harness.
For now thats all I got but will keep ya'll posted.

got the bed off her and pulled her in the garage get it up on jack stands leveled out

pulled the front clip off going with a fiberglass so hood and such will make a cool table working on taking the cross member out to go crown vic swap

that's pretty much all I got right now. I got the roll cage, seat, and everything to build the rear end just need to wait till after this weekend baby reveal party then can get back to it.

yes I am pretty concerned with them as well, I will take a look at dennis carpenter's mounts. Is there a link or some way I can check them out?
I really didnt even notice them until i stripped down the truck to get working on them and i was like what was the guy befor me thinking

Thank you going to be working on it today finishing up the cage and building the third member.
its tough to find time as I am getting the babies room ready for January.
the plan is to have it able to roll around on all 4 tires and steer basically have a rolling chassis before the baby. the motor will go quicker at that point it will just be ordering parts and put them on as they get here.
