Been away for a while, but I picked this '66 F250 up not too long ago. It needs a lot of wiring but it had some new goodies installed before I got it (alternator, coil, complete distributor, plugs, wires, ignition switch). I'm actually working on getting my old '69 back to rob some goodies from. Last I heard, it was sitting in a field not far away from my house so I stand a good chance of getting my hands on it again. Some of the pictures I have here are decent, others not so much. The low resolution pics are from my cheap cell phone so I apologize now.

Here's how it looked when it first showed up on our street (I got it from the neighbor )

Chained her up during the last snow storm we had and it did great!


I got tired of the huge tires so I bought some smaller ones from a buddy. As luck would have it, they were already mounted on wheels that fit it! I love the smaller tire size, hate the wheels, though. I'll be trading them for my neighbor's MINT two piece steel wheels and dog dishes off of his '78 F250.


This evening, I took the ugly rear bumper off. It had a huge diving board looking diamond plate steel unit on it. I'll be replacing it with an F100 bumper at some point.



Future upgrades include front disc brakes, power brakes, power steering, rear axle over spring flip, c-notch, cut and turned front beams, and a creative gas tank relocation.

That is a nice looking truck. That style is next on my wish list. What does the inside look like?

I bought this F250 over a year ago and have been slowly working on it. I think I'm already $12,000 into it and still have more to do. Its more a labor of love at this point. I will never get the money I spent back if I sell it.
The truck came with split ring wheels. I stopped at the first Les Schwab I came to and put some regular wheels and new tires on. I still have the old rims. I was hoping to sell and make a few dollars, but I can't give them away. I was surprised when the guy at Les Schwab said they still make bias tires to fit those rims.

Finally got the chance to swap my chromed wagon wheels for my neighbor's steelies and dog dishes. I absolutely love this look, even if it isn't quite "period correct" for this truck

That's a sharp looking truck!

As far as the inside of mine, it's in fair shape. Dash pad has a crack or two and the driver's half of the bench is pretty worn but everything is pretty much there. Minimal rust in the cab.
