1969 F100 Custom Cab towing

1969 F100 Custom Cab towing
I was wondering if a 1969 F100 longbed can tow a 1977 F250 highboy? I know it sounds crazy but is this possible? The F100 has a 360 FE C6 automatic transmission not sure what gears it has.

As has been discussed before , it's not the towing , it's the stopping!!
It depends on how far and how often , any hills?
If you have a good trailer with brakes it can be done.
There's a fine line between having enough tongue weight so the trailer behaves ,and too much that the truck won't handle well.
Torsion bars are a good idea.
If you do this often the F100 rear wheel bearings don't have a long life.

The F-100 doesn't have the suspension or rear differential (likely) to handle this. I wouldn't advise it.
I've towed Bump with Bump a lot over the last few years. Dozens of combinations, many x-country trips.

I know I'm late to this party, but for anybody else pondering this in the future here's my answer: Yes... BUT
The weight of a trailer plus the truck on it is more than you should attempt with your F100. However if you're willing to forgo the trailer and tow with a dolly or towbar it is doable. I've made similar tows several times without problem. Be sure to disconnect the driveshafts of the towed vehicle to prevent transmission damage.
If you use a towbar the front ends of both the towing and towed vehicles need to be tight and set right. Road wander can easily lead to whipping and that's a real thrilling ride.
Do not drive like a Bat Out Of H-E-L-L. Go as slow as you can get away with. While you can pick up speed on gentle downgrades, go easy on upgrades. Also, do not ride your brakes. If it's an automatic, steep downgrades just aren't advisable.
