Hitch options
I would like to put a receiver hitch on my 68 f100. I have the chrome rear bumper with no built in hitch. I would like to find one that tucks up pretty tight to the rear bumper.
I found this one, but a 16,000lb capacity seems a bit overkill.

I have the Hidden Hitch brand, I don't know the part number . They've since merged with Draw Tite and Reese
The frame width is the same as "87 and earlier chevies , and my hitch was listed under both applications.

Mine has a Draw-Tite 75034 Max-Frame Receiver

If you want me to I will try to get a better picture.
There was a reason that I chose this one, unfortunately I no longer remember exactly what the deciding factor was, but I do like that it doesn’t hang down a lot and I do not believe I had to drill any holes.

Put the Draw-Tite 41001 on my 68 F-100 4x4

Here it is on my truck, but the truck has a 2" body lift and obviously a home made bumper to match.

I imagine if I didn't have the lift and had a standard bumper it would look about like DuckRider's hitch. I went with this one because it is a 1 piece hitch with slightly higher load rating, mostly for the one piece rather than bolt together. Looks to have the same amount points as DuckRider's hitch, but I did have to drill, either adding holes or enlarging existing holes ( don't recall which).

Dang, I'll be so happy when I can get rid of my body lift and run a standard bumper.

The one you linked to was that one I used. It was a very easy install and sticks close to the stock bumper. Although on my truck someone hacked up the frame rail where this bolts on requiring some welding to add the strength back to the frame bottom edge.
So far the hitch has worked well and yes, it is overkill, but I'd rather have the extra "room" than not.

After searching for trailer hitches on the net, I ended up getting the Draw-Tite also. I will install it next week.
