I started out with this chassis.

Manual steering needs to go.

Bought a couple loose cabs. Here is one.

Parts truck. A bit tired but a treasure trove of parts I want. Been parked in a field for a few years.

This gantry is turning out to be my most useful tool.

Another craigslist find. A short box from a '68 or '67.

Found a good deal on a used 460.

At this point I found out the hard way that Oregon City is not at all friendly to projects like this one. Despite several others in my neighborhood doing similar without complaint, I was taken to court (without any warnings) and told if I hadn't gotten it out of there just before the court date, they were going to fine me $240,000. More than my property is worth. Rather rude. At this point I moved it to a friends place. Turns out the wind at his place is a bit much for my garage tent.

I had it modified for power steering.

The engine is in, cab on, box sitting on the frame. Swapping the front axle for a disk brake unit.\

The body is mostly on. Time to take it home. My friend is moving so I will take my chances with Oregon City. It will have good plates and tags and will be running soon with any luck.

Dropping it off at home. Still an ugly truck but it is getting there. Lots of body work coming soon.
