So then been reading these posts and I have the wiring like on page 3 on the sticky, reflectionpoint's post. I am going to wire up like him, do I need to look for a resistor wire from the factory regulator to get the alt to charge? do I need to use the 560ohm resistor? Also will be adding a volt meter to the F600 dash any existing stock wiring I can use or just run new. Just a minor note I will have all my grounds going to one point, a grounding bar. Will be adding a duel fan set up from a Ford Windstar to.
Also been thinking about cleaning up the engine bay. If i want to relocate the starter relay, (battery is being moved also) would i need to find more resister wire or just add to it with normal wire?
hanks for thoughts

Hi,
When I converted my 1970 F250 to a 1 wire.... I didn't add a resistor or any resistive wiring.

Ok, thanks Lee, I just saw on the two diagrams with the 3G alts, although one is from a mustang fourm, about a light or resistor. For now everything is on the inner fender but will move it all to the bed side "tool box" when done.
