Have many of you out there brought these back to life and what would be involved?
New compressor, hoses, and go? There is also a fan motor. I have this unit from a 1970 f350 2wd that I would like to put in a 1972 f250 4wd if its salvagable.

Re: 1970 dealer add on AC
See if one of these matches it. http://www.fordification.com/tech/factory-AC.htm I rebuilt my factory heat/defrost/AC unit http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =8&t=80023 I'm sure the dealer add on AC only units are even easier to rebuild. I intend to buy a kit with a Sanden style compressor, condenser, dryer, etc. I'll also be swapping to an 80s style serpentine belt set up for ease of mating A/C, P/S and alternator brackets instead of trying to piece together various brackets, adapters, pulleys and v-belts to get everything to match up.
