These are the spindles from the 75. The first thing I did was media blast and powdercoat them. Next the king pins needed to be replaced. I called several machine shops and was turned down every time. So I decided to do it myself. I lost my before pics of the spindles but they were very rusty as you would expect. This is showing the removal of the bushings.

I was able to find the reamer and pilot on ebay. Made by Chadwick & Trefethen. G HSS Reamer 21570 (adjustable) and G Screw on Pilot 07570. Keep in mind that Ford used a couple of different sizes of king pins and require different reamers.

After knocking out the old bushings I needed to press in the new ones. I tried to use my HF press but could not get them to go in straight.

I then used my Ball joint/u joint press. This worked well.

I then proceeded with the reamer. Using lots of cutting oil and going slowly I was able to get a good fit. This turned out to be pretty easy. Getting the old pins out was the hard part.

This is the point where I decided to take a really good at the rust prone areas. I pulled the floor mat.

Yes, this is minor compared to what others have had to deal with. I am amazed at what others on this site have accomplished. I am lucky to have such a solid truck.
