Finally was able to get out in the shop and got both front axles put on today :D driver side went smoothly. Passenger side with the new pivot bracket was a booger. I image a few other things were slightly tweaked when the original bracket got bent, but I got er' together. I'm so happy to have axles back on! Now I can finally move on to the full brake restoration like I intended over a month ago lol!

That turned out great! Guess I need to order a set for the little Ranger in case I ever get back going on it.

Well y'all, it is unhappy for me to report that bleeding the brakes did not go well. Rigid line of under the hood blew... Inlinetube here I come!

I don't know, I think I'd call that pretty good time to find out. I'd much rather have a brake line fail while trying to bleed than while going down the road.

Aside from the busted line, its looking good.

Well y'all. Bethany is now a driver :) I took her on a one mile drive in the neighborhood. Had my 13yo son in the driver's seat to be the brake pedal pumper for bleeding the system. He loved it. When we were done, we went for a drive and he was weirded out by the lap belts but still had fun. Tell ya what though, manual brakes are a trip. Gonna have to strengthen my right leg! Overall, very pleased with this sunday's progress :)
