tri-power

Post by tdsmoonchild »

Completed my tri-power carb setup. Made this with cheap, highly modified (hacked) autolite 2100s.

Nice looking set up! Everyone must be recovering from their 4th of July celebrations, and haven't logged into the site.

Who sells that intake and what is the hack part of using those carbs?

I would not have thought you could use 2100's. Nice job. Any pics without the air cleaners?

Very cool. Looks like an original Tri-Power Ford Intake from a Galaxy.

Yep. The intake is from a Galaxy maybe '63-65. Couldn't afford the expensive Holley carbs that it's supposed to have on it. I cut the round air-cleaner mounts in half to make the half-moon shape necessary to mount them up. I deleted the accelerator pumps, powervalves, and idle circuits on the outside carbs (just like the Holleys would have been. I will look for some pics, or take some of what it looks like without the air cleaners.
