Hey basket, thank you!
Sorry for the late reply, net been on the 'throttle' list again. Thanks AT&T!

Found that on the 69' Camper Special that it is a 15 amp CB , and it is for the trailer lights, best I can tell. That information buried in the shop manual, and believe it to be correct. Mine was ok.
Actually had two problems. First was the brake light switch; as I have replaced the booster for the PB and did not re adjust. So simple.
Second and more interestingly was that the headlamps were unhooked so that there was no power 'flowing' through the circuit. After hooking the headlamps up, my dash lights appeared, which is what was confounding me! What is interesting to me is that after getting the circuit 'flashed', the dash lights would appear without the headlamps hooked up. Thinking that my truck has the non-transistorized voltage regulator and that flashing the circuit was necessary in order to 'initialize' the dash panel.

thanks again for the wiring diagram. This ole' truck is about to hit the roads again after a 15 year pause........ :D
