73-79 crew cab

Post by Bronco_77 »

I know we are mainly about 67-72 trucks but I’m looking for a 73-79 crew cab preferably 4x4 but 2wd would be ok. I found one 8 hours away in Alabama and made a deal with the guy over the phone and soon as I’m leaving my drive way with a trailer he text me to tell me he sold it out for under me. Any leads on a truck would be greatly appreciate. Thanks y’all

That truck will be like finding "hen's teeth"!

You have to remember that there were maybe only 2%-4% of less of those produced back then out of over a million trucks per year.

I found a 68' Mercury, (they were only produced in Canada) rotting away in N.E. Georgia west of Rome that I'd loved to have gotten my hands on but it was the typical "it's GrandPa's truck and the family won't sell it".
Run run run to buy it if/when you find another!

Yea I know I really wish I’d left Thursday morning to go pick it up but the guy gave me his word that he’d hold it till Saturday morning for me but don’t guess his word means much to him.

Good eye Tom, (I woulda missed that).

Blows my mind the typical roof rot at the drip rail isn't like most bump crews, (beyond repair) considering where this truck spent it life!
Yep...I woulda' jumped n it for $650!

Oh yeah... guys never forget that
