72 green explorer special

Post by 96 jag ranger »

My truck is a duplicate of the same truck at cj pony for 72 mallard green on the bottom seapine on top with the sport custom interior it has a 67 410 that needs the top end but back on but I've been told because it's a 410 that work is different than a 390 so it sits not being repaired I've been told it would cost 3000.00 to have someone come over and fix it in my driveway.i don't have those skills.

It's an FE. The top end is the same 352 through 428. Buy a book from Amazon on building Ford FE Engines. Where are you located?

Agree, and what makes you think it is a 410?

I also have to order custom head gasket s because 390 gasket s are too small and 4.165 gasket s are too big so now that adds another problem.

Fel Pro 1020 is 4.4 it’ll work fine.

Buy Steve Christ book then Barry’s book. If you’ve got torque wrench, a set of sockets, can read you can do it. There is absolutely nothing at all special about a 410…

it’s forty over do you know who built it?

So because the bore is 4.090 doesn't that make the head gasket 4.100 just asking a question the head gasket you said is 4.400
