390 or 360 Engine
Hey guys does anyone know where I could find some good Information or videos on how a 390 or 360 engine works, like all of the components and such. I’m new to tinkering on them and would like somewhere I could learn up on how everything works together and what equipment does what?

It is not specific to FE's but here is a site with some animations, graphics and basics.
https://auto.howstuffworks.com/engine.htm
360/390 (and 352, 410, 427 428) are all "FE" engines. But the basic parts are shared with most classic V8 engines.
Some particulars that may help you weed out differences are that they are CAM in block and would be described as "wedge" combustion chambers.
The shaft mounted rockers are somewhat unusual and the fact the the intake manifold extends under the valve cover is quite unusual as well.
But none of that has bearing on the basic operation.
