The parting shots

Post by Tallboy »

Before Billy goes to the sand blaster.
This is the donner truck. No rust in the cab, doors, anywhere.
I got lucky with this and can't wait to get the frame back in two weeks.
Should have the sand blasting, primer and rhino lining done when it goes to the body guy for dent work in two small areas and paint.

Excellent Excellent Excellent!! What a cab to start out with.
That has got to be one of the best donor cabs Ive ever seen. How are the drip rails?
A cab in that good of shape saves you weeks if not months of work.
Good find. Congrats.

Hey, that's the exact same color as the donor cab for my project, too! Yours is in a little better shape though, my floorboards had a little pitting in them, but nothing serious. Yeah, not having to do rust repair in the cab is probably the most time-saving element.

Keep us updated!

Down south?

What was the details/cost in getting it shipped up here?

Enquiring minds want to know (I'm sure it's probably already posted? )

Man, I can't believe those floor pans! They look new. Nice going. So, are you removing the cab and hauling frame somewhere to get it sand blasted? Doing the same with the cab? How are you transporting them?

Everything including the frame are getting sand blasted as we speak. Should be done and primered by next week. The guy who is painting it has an older friend that has a trailer and transports locally. Kind of a hobby for him I guess.
Anyways I'll take some pics when its all done.....

Billy is going to be Ford GT Red. I believe its Mark IV red clearcoat.....

Hey Kentdayrl would you mind coming over with your rig so I can make sure my wiring is in the right spot when the time comes (1-2 months out). Maybe some bolts as well...... I hate getting a job done and having extra bolts laying around :? :hmm: :D

Anyways I'll keep the pics going when I get em back from the sand blaster and rhino liner place.
