they work very well but don't try to paint a car In a single blast. Best of all york ac compressors are very quite, the motor & belt make about as much noise as the comp. head. I built mine for residential use the wife don't even know I am in the shop.spartman wrote:How would that york setup work as a shop compressor?
Does anybody know what the duty cycle on one would be?
I have diagrams for them but I just don't got the time to post them, from work. The customers won't find this funny, I am killing time but I work flat rate. So If you go to Tap:/www.therangerstation.com or www.4wdlinks.com you can find some diagrams & specs. or just york 210
& a goggle search
also you don't need big power on these, I use a old 2hp. but 3hp would be nice .
PS I will post some info. when I get a day off. Man I need a day/night off.
WHAT ?

re: Air Compressor??
I am in the market for a air compresser but really don't have a clue. Hate buying crappy stuff so which one would be good. I was at home depot and they were selling a husky air compresser with a 100% duty cycle and the engine was 6 hp sounds good to me.

I jsut bought a new air compressor from Home Depot. It is a 7hp 60 gallon Husky single phase. It will work for everything that I need. Will take a while to do any big sandblasting but regular body work will be perfect.

I was a little iffy at first but I hear alot of great stuff about them. I want to just buy one that does it all and keep it reasonably priced. It mentions all the uses for it but the dutty cycle and the engine quality concerns me the most. On a scale from 1-10 where does it stand...I am two blocks away from home depot and want a air comfressor

re: Air Compressor??
Wish I could tell you, Iam still puzzled which one to buy. Brand cfm...blah,blah,blah....Don't want to sand blast just grind and paint and maybe use a few impact wrenches.
