New garage door opener

Post by HOWDY69 »

While the truck is in the shop I thought I ought to do something useful. The garage door opener has been broke for three years but the truck was in mothballs in the garage so we didn't really need an opener. Put in a new one this weekend and it works great. Problem is now my wife thinks she can park in the garage. My argument is the oldest vehicle should get the garage. She don't seem to be buying it. I need help convincing her the truck should get the garage. :help:

Paint the garage floor and keep telling her the floor is still drying until your truck comes home an occupies it's space

I was thinking you could just put in a hidden switch so that only you would know how to open the door.

"Gee honey, the door seems to be broken again. I'll have to track that down one of these days."

Tell her the truck stays in the garage and if she ever mentions it again, she'll be walking to work.

Jor you must not be married. LOL

Here's what you do, you tell her that what your doing is trying to get the truck perfect so when you sell it you will be worth more money. There is no better way to work on it except by keeping it out of the elements.

I had the garage all messed up so she could not park in it. Then her sister left her BMW here over the weekend and I clean up a spot for the BMW inside. Then I left with my boys for a week of skiing in Idaho. When I came back the Saturn was in the garage.

Luckily with the new 410 I should be able to pull the Saturn out of the garage kicking and screaming.

There is some good ideas. I don't think my better half would ever fall for those but I took over the garage anyways. It is either me have the garage or build a shop. She more than willing let me have the garage.

My old lady is good about that sort of thing. She only wants to park in the garage if it's a threat of snow. Our garage opener was acting up too, but i didn't fix it so I could overtake the garage early to start on the truck.
Bumpless for now...
