Okay... I'll give you some history.. refreshed the 351W I had in the truck, new heads, new intake, gaskets etc.... But when putting it back together I dropped the distributor holdown bolt into the engine Luckily it dropped down into the pan, but I didn't want to leave it there even though I'm sure it wouldnt get past the pickup tube/screen.
Borrowed a friends engine hoist and got the engine up, the pan off, and the bolt out. Now its time to remove the old gaskets and put on new ones and bolt it up. HOWEVER it has the dual hump (car I'm guessing) oil pan. I want to put on the proper truck oil pan.
My question is, is it Front Sump, Rear Sump for a truck application? The current oil pan has the dip stick tube in the side of the pan. I know the front sump will have it go through the timing chain cover.
Anyone a truck 351W oil pan, pickup tube, and timing chain cover they can part with?
Thanks,
Patrick
