Sure a lot fiddlin' around, isn't it? Looks good. Would that happen to be a 'work' vehicle I see in the background? :D

Great job on those bolt holes. Welding is one skill I sure wish I had. Nice work.

yah that's the croozah! :)

I used nearly a whole roll of wire welding up all the trim holes, mirror holes, welding the stake pockets, welding the bed seams, and doing other mods like frenching the rear marker lights. I'm waiting on the roll pan when it arrives that should be the last thing I have to weld. (If I don't decide to shave the drip rail and door handles :hmm: )

Got some more fab done. I decided I wanted to do something custom to the marker lights. Instead of just filling them and smoothing them to the body line I frenched them into the body. I also wanted a roll pan but didn't have the $$ for it so I decided to make one. I have a couple of bedsides from a LWB truck. After doing some measuring I found out the bend at the top of the bed is the exact same radius as the roll at the rear of the lower bedside. I cut out what I needed from the bedsides and I'm going to weld in a pocket for the license plate. Here are some shots of the pockets I made for frenching the markers.

The pocket I made from some metal I had laying around.

The hole in the bed opened up.

The pocket inserted.

After I get them welded in and smoothed I'll post some more pics of them.

Here are some shots of the "homemade" roll pan.

Cut out bedside.

The other. In this one you can see the perfect fit of the body line.

I was telling qman that I did bodywork for a guy who pretty much made me use whatever I had lying around to work on peoples vehicles. Looks like it's coming in pretty handy now. LOL! :D Stay tuned, more to come later.
