Does that make a 73-79 a "dent side" :D

67-72 parts are more expensive than 73-79. You sometimes pay dearly for that bump. Kind of like getting a bump to the head

Hey watch it I have a soft spot for the 73-79's now. I used to dislike them and said I'd never own one but I do like them alot for some reason now.( might be becasue of the 77 crew in the garage). But to answer the question I kinda like dipsides?

I always called the 73 to 79 a sink side. I dont know if thats right or not just what I called them. Oh and I love them as they make real good donor trucks, I have one to, lol or whats left of it. Charles

"73-79 has the 'groove' or 'channel' on the sides", is how I try to describe the body style to people who are not truck-aware. And that they dont have the drip rail on the roof, which is their best feature.
The bumpsides are better looking, but the 73-79 is a poor cousin.

They still have the driprail over the door areas, just not in the front and back of the cab.

I've heard people call the 67-72 an "Innie" and the 73-79 an "outie".

I was kind of wondering the same thing, for all the series. 67-72 are Bumpsides, the series before (is it 61-66?) are Slicksides/Slicks, older trucks get called Effies, but I'm not sure how old they have to be to qualify. What else is there?
