The Alameda County Fairgrounds will be the site of the Goodguys Summer Get-Together, featuring over 2,000 hot rods and trucks of all makes and models. Another Texas-sized show is forecasted, as the fourth annual Texas Showdown will feature trucks competing for cash prizes in 14 categories, as well as 7 "Best in Show" categories. A burnout contest, kids' play area, live music, and a hot dog eating contest are all scheduled. San Diego's chapter of Pickups Limited is sponsoring the 19th Annual Fords & Friends Picnic. All makes and models are welcome, and since it's at Dos Picos Park, the show will be very kid-friendly.
