I'm older than my truck...I think?? I need to check the vin plate for the month. I'm a 9-'68 and Maybel is a '69. She came with the name from the previous owner.

As far as the teenager comment...my 16 year old daughter wants to drive my truck. I won't let her until I get all the gremlins out of the steering and brakes.

My 14 y.o. stepson is afraid to drive my truck. I think its because his father likes Buicks and can't drive a manual transmission. It doesn't help that my wife is afraid of the old truck too!

Actualy in the week since i traded off the 72 I have noticed that overall the Asspire Feels less safe and less reliable than the old 72!

Can't wait to get the next 72 or any 67-72 back in my driveway. Running or otherwise.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Another member of the OFC here. I'm a 1950 and my trucks a 69. Some of us old guys got to drive these trucks when they were brand new. That's why I wanted one again.

I figured I'd revive this one as there are some new folks here since June.

I was born in 12-85 so my 10-68 truck's got 17 years on me.
My 65 Mustang has about 21 years on me (10-64).
My 88 Bronco is a year and a half younger than me (7-87).

I was born in 1967 and my truck was built in 1969.I'm only 39 (not really that old :D ) but it is really great to see so many younger people interested in preserving these quality vehicles.Like the old saying goes-They don't make them like they use to!Also it is nice not to have inspections each year and you can do anything you want to the engine!

Truck is a 69 and I'm a 45. I feel as good as my truck looks. It looks as good as my 68 did 30 years ago.
