re: My words of wisdom, Whats yours?
My Grandpa was FULL of "words of wisdom"...some much wiser than others, but we heard them often, and usually at full volume!! I'll try to remember a few of his "jewels":
Ya can't polish a turd. (one of his favorites!)
If you want to grow beans, don't plant carrots (it took me a while on that one..but it really applies to alot of things!!)
The only thing International ever made that was any good was a manure spreader...and they wouldn't stand behind that SOB either (he owned an IH dealership at one time)
One from one of my old flying mentors:
"don't worry about crashing... just deal with whatever problem and fly the biggest piece back."
One from John Ruskin:
"It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money, that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot...it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better."
But on a serious note, I just heard this one the other day and it really "spoke" to me...from my friend "Delta Dirt"...
"You gotta remember that "beneath it all is the land "---we plow it, dig it, push it, haul it, mine it, build on it, walk on it, ride on it, etc.----let's all try to take care of it----"cause they ain't making no more of it right now".

You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose. But you shouldn't pick your friends nose.
Life is like a s**t sandwich. The more bread you have the less s**t you have to eat.
When it's hot and sticky thats no time for dunkin d**ky. But when the frost is on the pumpkin then its time for d**ky dunkin
Hope these are ok?

Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown. BUT it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and smack the idiot upside the head.

"It is what it is" -- this doesn't leave any room for it should be or it could be or it might be....nope, it is what it is.
