Wildcard,
I will try to figure out how to take a picture with my wife's camera and upload it to the fordification site. I am fairly computer literate, but there is a learning curve to that sort of process. I really do like the seat, but it does not have headrests.
Don't worry about the hijacking. We always have to remember that communication is 60% non-verbal and that part is lost in text messages and email. (I am a speech instructor part-time at the local community college.) I have had a really hard time learning to word my messages so I don't irritate people, and I am not 100% successful.

In life many men take the path of righteousness, some take the path many others follow (G.M. owners, for example), some take a more arduous path, some a simpler path. I, sir, took the PSYCO-PATH!!

re: Road Worthy or Bust update
Wildcard,
Here are the pictures of my truck after a good washjob. I made a few recent changes, like original Ford hubcaps instead of the Dodge caps and beauty rings it came with. I even repainted the rims before I had tires installed. Tires are not new, but the price was right and they will do for now. The seat is out of a 1975 F-350 and looks better in person than it does in the photograph. The rest of the truck looks better in photographs that is does in person. The engine compartment isn't beautiful, but it is clean and all hose etc, are replaced. Still needs a few things worked out, like a u-joint clang, and heavy rust inside the bed, and slight play in the steering. This rig is worth fixing up, it could become a really nice daily driver, except I commute 60+ miles a day. So I will continue to drive the Ranger that gets 19 mpg.

Kurt, that is a good looking truck. The seat, the wheels and caps all make it look just right. Great going.

Does that seat sit higher than the stock one? I got my gauges out of my buddys '71 F750. I asked for the seat to but he told me he needed it. I wasn't sure if I could use it anyway, because it felt like I was a lot higher on the F750 seat than I was on my F100. I didn't want clearance problems with my steering wheel. I loved the look of it though!

re: Road Worthy or Bust update
Thanks for the positive comments, guys. I am really enjoying the process of cleaning-up this truck and making it look as good as I can. I do like the original look in vehicles, with some exceptions. I really like the minimalist look, no chrome etc. I also believe you should be able to open the doors of a truck, on a hot day, and hose off the floor mats and maybe scrub the inside of the doors with a soapy rag. If it is really dirty, hose off the seat.
71 Long Bed:
I sat in the seat I bought and another one at the wrecking yard, and I couldn't tell any difference between them. The one I didn't buy was in a F-100 or F-250. As far as comparing it to the original, the seat was so bad I had to sit on a foam pad to be able to drive the truck! Seems fine to me at the current level. Remember, this seat came from an F-350, so with a F-750 your mileage may vary.

The apolstry on mine is in great shape but the springs are worn. Especially in the seat back, not much support. Maybe that is why the one in the F750 seamed higher. Like you said, less milage, less worn.
