Well I am still working on the title thing

But here are the pictures I promiced... :D

They are in <my album> on Slick60's.

I have a question about the VIN tag on the Door, Is it the right kind?? I know the info on it doesn't match the truck, but does the tag look right? It looks a little hoaky to me.

Lookls like somone swapped the door out and it didn't have a vin tag or they destroyed them both trying to remove them. And just had a new tag engraved for the ones title or it could realy be a stolen truck.

kinda like they copied a junkyard tag.

If the f250 frame comes back clean get a title for it. Some states if it hasn't been registered for so long. They sometimes can give you a title if you can show that you bought said truck(a bill of sale wich may or may not need to be noterized).

then once its yours i have some f250 hood emblems if yours say f100.

Maybe do a swap with you. Shiping for shipping.

Then if you take the vin from the frame and have ask ford at the customers ask ford website send you a build sheet. I think for 50-60 bucks a polace called marti auto will restamp you a new correct styled Vin tag. I think they even give you a good set of factory correct rivets.

I will remember that.

The emblems are 250s. I am thinking of shaving them...

Well the trucks are not stollen and the officer is going to contact the title owner of the 250 vin.

He wants to get it inspected before I do any work to it, so I need to get it running some time so I can take it down there.

Looks like all will be well soon. :)

Well I have been working on cleaning up the suspention parts for the front.

I set up a little electrolisys tub in the back yard and have done the spindles, I-beams, backing plates and some other small stuff. I have the radous arms in there now. They are the last big thing for a bit.

I am going to take the I-beams and spindles in to have the king pins done on monday. Then I can start to put it all together to get it ready to swap.

Still no word on the title problems. I am going to call the officer on Monday.

Oh...I also found out that I have to go to europe (can't say where) for 2 weeks...and I leave NEXT SATURDAY!!

more to come...

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

Well I had to go back a page to find this thread but here is an update...

I still do not have the title. But I an planning a campout in front of the guys house to try to get a hold of him.

So far I have been stockpiling parts. I also had the new bushings installed for the king pins. The parts where $80, but well worth it. The bearings and bushings are great quality and should last a long time. Only $25 in labor too! So $115 total, money well spent. I have also been cleaning and painting parts. Here are some pics.

Pic 1 Pic 2 Pic 3 Pic 4 Pic 5

I plan to get the I-Beams and Spuindles painted and assembled some time this week. 8)
