Nice wheel at a nice price, even if it is a "blem". The scratch could probably be fixed with a little elbow grease. I was looking for a 14.5" to 15" wheel, but this one might work. :D

Yeah its funny... I cant find ANYTHING in the local wrecking yards... but I found these 2 a couple hours from me... no engines in either, but I dont need an engine... so it will be lighter to tow

Yeah I will be grabbing both of these... My wife isnt too thrilled about our yard looking like a wrecking yard.... We have

My 68 Ford
83 Ford
78 Ford ext cab
another 78 ford ext cab
an old Monte Carlo
a 78 Grand Prix (Going in the Derby someday)
A Pinto
My 94 Mustang Convertible

As well as my 95 Chebby and her Yukon Denali

But I promised her I would move the intake manifold from the porch if I coul get them!!! :D

Bored at work so i thought I would give an update on some fo my progress....

Its been pretty cold here, and since my truck is in a Tent Garage, there is no way I am going out there.. So instead I ahve been concentrating my time on ordering parts for my truck.

I found a 390 engine here with low miles... I am going to leave the stock bottom end in it for now, but I bought a bunch of goodies for it.

I bought:

Comp cams 270H cam with lifters, valve springs, and timg chain.
A Holley Streetmaster 670 Carb to sit on top.
An ignition set http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0322073071

So the engine should maybe get started on within a month or so.

I also got a nice black PS column with tilt and threw the steering wheel on it..looks good!

I also bought some Rims and tires... 18" with 225/45/18 (too good of a deal to pass up!!!!)

Still keeping my eyes open for a used set of 74-79 lowering beams.. (cause they are ridiculous right now in Canada for brand new)

If you get those trucks would you sell me those roof marker lights? All the aftermarket ones look like crap.

Hey, you said you were going to buy some drop beams but don't waste your money on the DJM hanger kit for the rear (unless it is too late). The problem I found with that kit is that if you have the "flex-o-matic" leaf spring which I think is exclusive to the 1972 (like mine) the kit screws up your pinion angle and would require a bunch of shims to fix it. The kit may work ok on your 68 if you don't have the flexomatic but still don't buy one, I will give you mine once I install my 4-link, hopefully next month.

nope, the flex-o-matic is not a '72 exclusive. i have a '69 stepside with flex-o-matics.
