The hope is that the sending unit in the tank will be able to tell me how much fuel I have on an aftermarket gauge. Here is a dash panel and gauges I am looking at.

Re: My 1971 F250 Custom 7.3 Diesel Project..4X4 Frame Swap Pics!
So I have decided to go with the 4x4 frame swap for lots of reasons. Also because according to Keith and other threads I have read, it is rather simple to just shorten the wheel base by moving the springs together by removing the bracket and mounting them closer.

Re: My 1971 F250 Custom 7.3 Diesel Project....4x4 Frame Swap!!
Also I appreciate everyone telling me what they have measured from a 76's wheelbase but READ WHAT I AM WRITING! I MEASURED IT WITH MY OWN TWO EYES!!! IT WAS 37 INCHES LONG!!! I don't know how this is up for debate but IT"S NOT!!
And besides, I have decided to go ahead and do it. the rear spring brackets are going to be moved forward and the excess off the frame will be chopped.

Well fellas,
the wife hit a deer with the car, so that puts the truck on hold. Looking at buying an 1969 Mustang Fastback to replace the subaru. Don't worry though, I won't put a diesel in it....
