I'm thinking the same white, because all the trimming I think will stand out more, plus it's cleaner, and cooler..

Very nice, I love seeing body mods on these old fords. I never considered deleting the stake holes in the bed but I think I will now. Everythings looking great keep up the good work.

More 71's Progress
Flipped the leaf springs.
Close up.
I put a 6 degree shim, and I just hope that it will be enough for the angle of the pinion?
I'll be getting the rear disk brakes 4/17/09..
Getting the gas tank in place. The nuts will be welded on frame..
Painted and polished the tilt steering column from a 1978. I deleted the hazard button and hole,
and had to paint the shifter black because of the pitting..
I also re-done the vent windows. I stripped all the paint, primered, painted, wet sanded, and polished them. I added the new lock handle, and left the old rubber it was very plyable, so I didn't have to change it. The pictures did no justice to the way they realy look their as smooth as glass..

Looks good. I am anxious to see how that rear disc brake conversion kit turns out... I am looking to eventually go disc brakes all around as well. Keep up the good work!

Re: Pics of my 71's Progress
I really like the red. I'd kinda like to see a black with silver writing. A black with silver Ford script would be cool too. How did you accomplish that?

Emblemizing
First i took it apart the emblem, then traced it on thick plex glass, cut and sanded to fit, then went to a local sticker shop and had them cut me out two pieces of some chrome lettering in the exact Sport logo. centered the sticker, and then painted the back. i put it back together and set it on the grill..
neet ehh???

Re: Pics of my 71's Progress
Cool. I may have to try that on mine! It kinda clears up the 69 grille I got. The Ranger emblem is bad, and I was looking for a little something different. I found it! Thanks.

Disk brakes
I got the correct set of rear disk this time. It was a $76 mistake, thats what the shipping cost . Oh well.
I just did a temporery fit to see if they would work this time. Took them back off acid cleaned and power washed the frame spotless
sent it back to the paint shop. That way when its all painted i can put the disks, lines, and gas tank on, all nice and new looking. I'll post pics next time i forgot
to take pics this time around.
