If you are going to do this do it right.

1. Move the I-beam pivot points, radius arm mounts and the spring towers so the wheels are in the right place in the wheel wells.
2. Widen the bed to match the front.
3. Widen the rear end to match the front wheels.

Do these things and it will be BAD A$$

YOU know what would look good with that but might be a bit over ambitious?

Dual it out!

Widen the bed so that the width of the fenders matches the width of the F600 fenders when bolted up (athough you would have to fab some inner fenders for the inside rear wheels). Put a front dually axle in (Not sure if they used different beams or if they just used big spacers?). Then I'd trim the bottom of the front fenders flush with the cab bottom, mock a running board up from the rear fenders to the front fenders, and have the truck squared away width wise between the front and rear fenderes. Could end up with a nice looking truck that fits well.

Damn. Maybe I just came up with an idea for a truck in the future for myself :D

i think if i'm going to run duals it will be in the back. the idea right now is to add a space inbetween the bed and the fender made of aluminum diamond plate to space it out to the front fender width and run the wide tires. then run 295/50's in the front and drop the front 2"

I say that thing is going to look mean. what color do you have in mine. O and for your grill/ bumper dilemma i would cit the frame beck to the core support and put your grille in unmodified, and place your bumper lower on the truck sense thats the way the 600 was it sat right under the the grille, or better shave it off and fill in the blank hole from fender to fender wit a piece of sheet metal. also i think the bed does need to be the width of the cab. just am idea i had looking at the pic. if you used a style side bed and grafted the some of the flare side wheel whales on there. just enough that they match the front fenders. i think that would make it look like it all went together. again thats just my two cents. good look and its going to be a one of a kind rig. O ya go bigger and fill up those wheel whales with some rubber.

This kinda makes me feel funny. At first I was like OMG WTF!!! Now I am more like kinda feeling it. But you need to work on the fenders. Way to much wheel well. You have got to widen the bed out to. It reminds me of the mustang wide body kit. You might want to find a guy good with photo shop. Like me. PM if you want and I will have you get me some pics of the side and front and I will see what can be done. Now what I think would look cool. Get the front and rear axles from the f600. Use the wheels or some kind of big truck with the lowes profile big truck tire you can find. Then drop that thing and make it look like a lowerd fat body rat rod type thing. I think the big trucks wheels tucked up in the fenders would look sick.

the f600 axels will not work. for one i don't want to ride and extra weight. also tucking the bigger wheels under there won't work. if the tire is too high it will drag the frame. if i were to go with a bigger wheel, lower profile tire i would go with 20" steelies like another member did on the site. i think the low wide wheels will be a better look once it's lowered. i've been playing with the idea of trying to find some 15" wheels that will work as duels and running them on the back. i'm not sure if i want to widen the bed. i need to get some cross members for the bed and get everything sitting where it should and THEN start chopping.

ready yourselves for a long post :D

to start off with i got the front end mocked up and it's looking good. After looking at the way the fenders fit i decided to take off the piece that holds the big running boards on the f600's to make the back corner line up with the bottom of the cab.

Image

the 295/50's will fit nice with some lowering!

i think i will add 2-4 inches to the bed to make the fenders line up so the running board is seamless.

fast forward to this week. i got board and asked my dad if i could use his air brush. While he was looking for it, i whipped off the drivers side fender and threw on a coat of flat black.

sadly i did my best work after these pictures and the only photo i have of them is on a friends cell phone. oh well, it was only practice.

today i decided to strip the front clip and get it ready for paint. 3 hours and some body work later i am here

i'm rolling the front under to match the conture of the grille because i don't need the piece that ties the f600 bumper onto the front end.

Image

the grille is slightly bent in so there is a ledge. work for tomorrow :\

she awaits my return come noon tomorrow.

that's it till tomorrow night.

Thats interesting, i've never seen an f100 with an f600 front wrap. Thats definetly one of a kind. I'm excited to see this thing come together.

Good morning KillaKobra,

I admire your bravery on tackling this, and I think it looks quite remarkable already! You'll have a one-of-a-kind with this truck. It's excellent!!!

Yeah i think what one of the guys was saying as far as filling the front fenders was to use the kind of rims up front like what gets used by the guys with dualies. so maybe there you could grab a 250 or 350's rear end and front end from a truck that had duals. that would give you the semi truck look
