If it was search and rescue, perhaps they special ordered from Napco and got an f250 chasis and cab, turned into a 4x4 drw(even if napco only used srw with dual wheels) and somwehre down the line the S&R guys had a wreck ad replaced with fenders from a 350? or even napco could have lied and put the 350 badges on, what does your title say, 250 or 350? or does your state even differentiate the different sizes of trucks?

I wanna say that here in missouri it simply states ford pickup on my title.

The Vin number is obviously F-250 4x4. What if? What if? What if? Who cares! What if pigs could fly, get sucked into jet engines and it rained bacon?

Ford didn't do crap like that, not on this planet anyway. The truck left the factory as what the vin says it is. Honestly, I'd far rather have it be that it is an F-250 4x4 than a Napco converted F-350.

no doubt about that. Was just sayin' not unlikely for napco to pull some bs to sell someone a 250 badged as a 350 at the 350 4x4 dually price. today not many people realize what a vin means, other than they know it identifies their vehicle. bet most people didn't know or didn't care back than iether. And if a state titles it as an f350 then it takes congress to get them to fix the misprint.

Dually means that the rear wheels stick out pass the bed. In the old truck it is 3/4 ton with a 1 ton axle like a dana 70 instead of a 60. If you look at you rear wheels they don t stick out pass the bed that is a 1 ton axle. It is really a 1 ton truck because they swap your axle. If you change it back to a dana 60 and change springs then it is 3/4 ton.

Dually means the truck has dual rear wheels. There are two different types of DRW trucks. There are cab chassis duallies which means the truck does not have a regular bed on it and the rear axle is the same width as any other single wheel pickup. ALL 1979 AND OLDER FORD DUALLIES ARE CAB CHASSIS TRUCKS. The other type of dually is a DRW pickup. This is just as it's described, a truck with a regular pickup bed fitted with extra wide rear fenders. These trucks have a rear axle that is about 6" wider than all other duallies or single wheel trucks. The sole reason these trucks are so wide is so that the inner rear dual tire clears the inside of the wheelwell on a regular pickup bed. Dually pickups are many times not the same caliber of truck as the cab chassis duallies.

The truck is what it is. If you put a heavier rear axle or heavier springs under an F-250 that doesn't make it an F-350 that makes it a 250 with a 350 rear end.

The simple fact here though is that the 67-77.5 F-250 4x4 frame and rear springs are nearly identicle to the same vintage F-350 2wd trucks. These F-250 4x4 frames and springs are significantly heavier than an F-250 2wd of the same era.

What i mean when you say duallly you usually mean wider than the bed. i agree with you there was none of them to be a true dually.

No i dont. I am saying that there is a different between a dually and a 1 ton with dual wheels the 80's are dually because how wide the wheels are. The pre 80's are 1 ton with dual wheels.

Good, huffing paint is bad. On an educational note; you are mis-informed. I lack an urge to re-write everything I just wrote in previous posts so feel free to read it over carefully.

The title says f350 and the truck does not look hacked at all. It does have diffrent style lug nut on the rear frunt has nut with built on washer and rear are tappered. I got a 84 e350 box van and the rims will not fit. The pin on the hubs are in diffrent places. I got all my parts for rear end at napa and all the bearings , brakes ,wheel cylinders, seals and rear cover gaskit where right. It has a 10 bolt dana rear in it.
