It was 99* when I went to work at 4:30 today. A thunder storm moved thru at around 7'ish & cooled everything down to a pleasing 75*.

You'd really enjoy it here this week with your allergies, Jamie. Poplar fuzz is at it's peak, blowing around like light snow in some areas. Wild roses are finally blooming along the fences all over the county and it's a nice fresh morning here in the mid 70's.

It was supposed to be 99 yesterday here outside of Charlotte NC with 50% or more humidity, They said it was supposed to feel like 105*. It rained just a touch last night enough to make it more humid today. I am lucky in that I have a shop to play in and it has a window AC unit through a wall but I never got around to insulating the ceiling. I do have 5/8" for a ceiling as that is better than nothing. The AC struggles on days like today to get the temp. down to 85*. Better than nothing. I don't use it much only on days like we have had this week.

I just got back from Deltaville. Took 17 to 360. Never went over 190. I feel sorry for the AC cakers on their way back to the s**thoels in Maryland from whence they came. They go to Urbanna looking for the river and stay inside the whole time.

I was in Williamsburg all weekend and man was it hot . We stayed in Busch Gardens on Saturday from 9:30 AM which was about 30 minutes before they opened all the way 'til about 10:00 PM, it was loads of fun but it stayed above 90 the whole time we were in the park, or it at least it felt like it did .

guerra wrote:its 97* in Midland Texas right now. i had to go check on my crew i have working in Pecos, Tx yesterday. Pecos is 100 miles west. i took the Electraglide since i dont get to ride as much as i would like. it was 106* there. Pecos is always hotter than any place in Texas for some reason. it was all good though i was riding. :woohoo:
Why in the name of blazes would anyone ,in their right mind, goes to Pecos Texas on purpose. There is a real lonely stretch of road that goes west outta Kermit, winds around thur Mentone around behind the water station at Barstow in to the back side of Pecos. Spent a month on that road one week. On the temp. note that's a differnt kinda heat than we have here in north Texas. By they way guerra I'm from a little wide spot south of Odessa bout 35 miles. My dad lived in Midland the better part of 30yrs.
