maybe someone can confirm .. I have saved the following as a note for my '67

"Beginning in 1966, all Ford I-6 & V8 engines were painted Ford Corporate Blue, including the valve covers.

1967 was the first year the (Ford) valve covers were marked Powered by Ford.

1967/68 Mercury 390/410/428 valve covers are marked Powered by Mercury."
