When I was unemployed I sold plasma twice a week. Easy $75.00 a week. Now when I need some fast cash I sell extra/surplus tools or parts taking up space in my garage.

I make cool CNC parts for our trucks, you should buy some. :)

Sidework? In the last three years, mant cars, trucks, tractors, big trucks, skid loaders, boats (alum and glass), puters and laptops have been through the garage. Add the gaggle of 2 stroke saws and trimmers and it makes for a constant drain on my time.

Since a day of OT nets $300 I'd rather do that...

Currently I have my little Seadoo jet converted aluminum bass boat in the garage;

Next up is a New Holland skid loader with the boom all broken up. Then maybe I should finish some project on the house, like put a roof on the peaked part...

I need to get some firewood in the shed as well, but I'd almost rather pay for it now...

I can work a shift of overtime for a decent amount of money, but I also go to school and get the GI Bill. After all the college expenses there is always some left over for me.

I found a niche market for early Bronco art and t-shirts. When I started making them, there weren't many out there. My partner and I sold our first shirts for $10 each including shipping. We were amazed to make $5 profit on each shirt.... which we then split in half. That partnership later morphed into a Bronco event that was the largest thing going for early Broncos. We had 300 1966-1977 Broncos at our largest event. About 1000 people were there. We sold one HELL of a lot of shirts for $20 each at that event. We raffled off $20,000 worth of prizes, donated a truckload of food to the local food bank, and gave a goodly chunk of cash to the local FIre and Rescue. I have completely paid for my Bronco and all the restoration work on it with that money. I'm considering branching out to the bump market. Now that we have a bump in the family it needs to start paying for itself.

i just sold some scrap metal....

don't worry it's not a bump. the people who leased my house left a bunch of stuff. it's only about a mile to the recycling center so I made three trips in the last two days. I only had about 350 pounds per load but I also sold 2 batteries. so I got $7 for one battery and $3.50 for a smaller car battery. The loads of metal were about $22 dollars each. I made over $75 dollars for just a couple of hours of work. I know it isn't much but it helped me out this week to buy lunch and put some gas in the truck and lawn mower. I have been cleaning up the property because I am selling it. It's a little old house built in 1925. One of the items was a short truck bed from a 80s chevy and about 340 pounds.

I also clean my garage and sell stuff I don't need, or stuff that I wanted to keep but know I can turn a profit on.

When I was unemployed, I went for a bike ride and collected cans and bottles. Only made about $10 a day, but for an hour and a half of "work" it was worth it (and good exercise to boot).
