Mines so tough that it walked to school barefoot in the winter and up hill both ways or as my granddad would say "it's rough and tough and full of fleas, never been curried above the knees" RIP.

I pulled a chebie pickup with a bed full of junk and a boat with about a foot of water in it up a boat ramp and continued up a hill for about 2oo yards with it. He forgot to put the plug in the boat and then his truck wouldn't start. And that was a 300 with a weak clutch I thought.

This story is not about hauling but about 2 years ago I was in the local mountains helping a friend cut wood.
In the process I lifted too much and magically grew a third nut :( on the way home coming down the hill
I let the Beast get the bit in her teeth. When it was necessary to apply the brakes My new nut protested
and I went off a 400' "cliff" not straight down only about 75 or 80 degrees.I was able to keep her pointed down hill
at the bottom I hit another road :woohoo: I knocked down many 3" to 6" pine trees on the way down.
Scratched the bumper and the drivers side doors broke a side mirror, all in all it added 5 minuets to the trip.
While I tried to build a truck that could drive off a cliff I never intended to test it.

When I worked the last 15 miles to work was a 2 lane road that had consistent fog in winter
and I built a bumper that weighs #500 to help in case of head on collision.

Man, all you need is a couple of hood mounted MG's and you'll be ready for just about anything in your way. :D

Rock on, dude! That thing is awesome!

My bump is one tough F-100. There's a dent in my tailgate and according to the previous owner is was caused by a tree falling on it. Also, he said a couple years before I bought it, he drove it from Atlanta to New Orleans with a bed load of 2x4x8s for Katrina relief. That load must have weighed at least 500 lbs or more. I am suprised he didn't have a blow-out cause at that time, my truck still had 20 yr old tires on it.

Nice!
I need something like that up here. Buckstop bumpers are popular for a reason. And elk or moose will thoroughly remodel a full size truck...
Can we get some more pictures of that thing?
