that is so true. my DD and my bump are paid for where as i have to pay $400 a month for my wifes sport trac

I'm not married. I'm only 19.

I live with my mom and we share housing/bill/Fred expenses.
She loves my truck, she just doesn't like driving it all that much. But, she always helps when I need extra hands.

My 3 year relationship was just recently ended. But, within those years, I paid for everything, EVERYTHING. And for a 22 year old that may be foolish, but I could so I did. And even with all that, she would get super mad if I ever bought myself anything, especially for the truck. She would get so mad saying that I didnt need to spend the money and it was stupid, even though after 3400 in bills every month I still had that much left over. But oohhhh no, she would spend 200 a week easy on crap. makeup, clothes, going out. Whatever, . Im saving a ton of money now that shes gone, and I have more time for Lucelle now . Lucelle = Bump

Hey! Let me know how that comes out. Court decisions are usually based on precedents and I've got 2 exes that suing would make me a rich man

My wife doesn't hesitate to pay $450/mo payment and $85/mo full coverage insurance for her car (that dropped 50% in value in the 1st 2 years) but if I spend $40 on a timing light or $150 on a carb it's a federal case. Heck, I spent $300 on a donor truck and got $1000 worth of usable parts! Told her I'd have it stripped and gone from the garage in 30 days. She griped every day for that 30 days about the "piece of junk" in HER garage. Not only that but complained about how much time I was spending stripping it. I will have to admit though that, aside from the lack of interest in the bump, she's a good, caring, hard working woman, just a little selfish, and I do love her. We've got 9 years together, 5 kids and 6 granddaughters between us and are pretty well matched up.

We have been married 25 years and we both have the same goals ,I have been disabled enough that I am no longer employable.
So my "job" is the projects,when I start looking at a project I come up with a quote/budget for the worst case situation then add another 50%
that way I will come in under budget.I also spend a LOT of time making things from scratch, more time than money.
That way when I need to spend on something she understands.The fact that when I do get a "new" toy I tend to keep it forever helps,I have been driving the Filthy Beast sense 1990.
She is the toughest boss/bean counter I have ever worked for.she works 12 hour shifts as a 911 dispatcher so I am home alone a LOT and the projects keep me out of trouble.

Quite often when I mention wanting to buy something for one of my projects Miss Yvonne whips out one of her favorite sayings.........Honey........You earn it........You burn it. Coming from a woman who doesnt have to work outside the home that is a great attitude I think. Of course I keep her vehicle maintained tagged ,insured, and fueled for her so that helps I guess.

Do not forget all ye men in a good relationship. Even if our better 1/2s do not work outside the home, they still darn well work. The homefront is a lot of work. Especialy with kids. My wife, Vicki, has stood by me for a lot of years. Including a career in the Navy. She raised our kids, kept up the home, took in baby-sitting to help with the $$$. All I did was float around and maybe a little something thay call war. I was gone 50%-60% of those 24yrs. That is why I tell people WE retired from the Navy. She owns 1/2 of the pension. Just my opinion. Guess I should shut down my Flowmaster drone. (My 1st wife left when I was 23, I got custody of the 3 kids, and I was stationed on a Destroyer, I know the home front is a challange.) Thank God the following year I meant Vicki.

Well Im a pretty passive fella for the most part, so I wont sue . Heck, I dont even care about it, its just money, I got the important things. My bump(s) of course, the apartment, the AWESOME puppy i bought for her that turns outshe hates having to care for ( she wont be a very good mother I fear) and my sanity. So i call it a good deal

My wife walks around with her head in the clouds and when I was younger it use to drive me flippin NUTS, but after 26 years I have come to kind of like it now. I could literally go buy a vehicle and she would'nt notice it for weeks and when she finally does notice it I would just have to say " see honey, I told you that you would like the color" and that would be that.

No wife here but I have Annie (the dog) who can smell money and will get mad if I spend to much on the Bump. If I can't afford treats I will pay!!
