With the temps we get here in the winter, salt doesn't work and sometimes it's so cold that sand won't even stick to the ice. Rolled out at -35 this morning but some temps in the area were close to -40. One weather site apparently labelled this area as the coldest on the planet outside of Antartica last night. Warmer air is back now as we were up to 0 by noon and since I've been home from work it's climbed all the way to 10.

Nothing on 4, 6 or 18 wheels here without a block heater. Vehicles get plugged in and block heaters for the two legged species get worn on our heads

I actually was giving the temps in fahrenheit, Atlas. I don't expect anyone south of the medicine line (49th) to give a flying fish about celcius temps
We may have had to learn metric in school but lots of us still think in miles, acres, feet, fahrenheit and ozzes and libs (anybody remember Lucy from Peanuts saying that?)
