Re: OT: 2007 Harley Davidson for 4000
Thanks for the replies you all... Still no pics, but hopefully soon. As far as to answer some questions, I am a bigger boy, I am in and around 205-225 depends on what kind of Ice-Cream is hiding in the freezer. Work is about 25 miles away. I have rode one other sportster that was an 04 Model. At the time I had a 2004 Honda Shadow Aero that was a 750 CC. With a mild carb build and a set of pipes, the honda had considerable more power. I am really not into spending more on a bike than I did on my F250, so I have never really looked at Harleys as I have kids, and a house, and responsibilities
I am really looking just for something to save on gas, and don't really want another car in my drive, or my house will look like Ryan's, but I am sure my wife isn't as understanding as his parents. So the best choice would be a bike. What I would really like to find is a nice running late 70's Honda or Suzuki, 750 or better, but if this bike is as nice as the guy says it is, I wouldn't have to worry about dependability so much. So hopefully some pictures come in, maybe I will just wait on the bike and put that money into my old truck. I haven't touched it in 3 years after I did my body swap, I would hate to be back to square one, when I finally get it down to my house in FL. Who knows we will see!

I'm still hung up on the ice-cream in the freezer. I know what ya mean, that is my down fall also.

Re: OT: 2007 Harley Davidson for 4000
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the sales guy that sold me my 1200 admitted they sell 883's mostly to women because of the size of the bike. Not that women dont go bigger but that seems to be the focus when they are selling or they gravitate to that thinking they cant handle anything bigger. I honestly dont see where my 1200 is a rocket by any means so I dont quite follow that logic but anyway. I do know the 1200 LOW was specifically designed for women only because it sits lower and they can reach the ground easier so they were hoping to pull that demographic in by offering it.fuzzier1 wrote:Since you say you are a big boy I would say pass, you will HATE it real quick. Re: OT: 2007 Harley Davidson for 4000
Well I haven't gotten the photos sent to me, so in the interim of waiting I tend to talk myself out of spending money. If anyone knows where there is an old CB750 or GS750 or bigger that might be the road I go. Something that I can mess with and change without pulling the value down! On that note though, fixing my truck is starting to sound better and better. I can always buy a cheep bike or toyota when I get home as a Daily.
Ha ha and yeah that dang Ice Cream!
