Honestly when you look at what's out there for $10k you'll be getting a pretty decent truck, definately not a cookie cutter plastic POS like the new ones.

I love these trucks. My dad had a 1977 highboy that he bought new and that was one bad ass truck. I have always wanted to get one like it and this 70 is as close as I can get and is in excellent shape. It will be a weekend warrior that will not be abused. Thats if they except the bid

I'd sure buy it. One thing caught my eye is the clutch peddle. Been a while since my was a straight drive but my clutch peddle was even with the brake unless the rubber type return (bushing?) was out of place. Mine wore out after about 100k and I replaced it. I think the inside looks too good to be over the limits of the odometer though

My brother is the friend of the assistant chief and he has been with the fire department for over 30 years and knows the complete history of the truck. The mileage is definitely correct and he is very knowledgeable about the history of the truck. They did take the tank and lights off (saves me the trouble).

I'd definitly pass on buying that truck. For one, knowing the fire department they probably waxed it way too much. Two, with only 7,000 miles on it I'm sure the engine is hardly even broken in. Three, it's probably been garaged it's whole life.

Now, if you could be so kind as to tell me exactly where this truck is so I can tell the seller about my gripes face to face.

Wow, that sure does look nice. Like i said earlier, it's hard to come across a bump worth anything near $10,000. This seems to be one of those hard to find bumps worth $10,000 though!

I wish I'd been able to find a truck like that when I bought my first bump. I don't even want to guess how much I've spent restoring the one I have, but I know it's over 10K.
