Yes it's bolted to the floor. Most vehicle extinguishers these days are only rated for class B and C fires. Class B is burning liquids and class C is energized electrical equipment. I prefer to spend the extra $$ and get one that's also rated for class A fires which are ordinary combustibles such as paper, wood and cloth. The B & C only units will work on class A fires but they aren't nearly as effective as a unit rated for all 3. Something else you might want to look for is the UL ( Underwriters Labratories ) symbol and/or the words Coast Guard Approved. Both organizations put them thru real world testing rather than rely on the word of the manufacturers.

Calfdemon, years ago I saw the remains of a 35 Ford coupe streetrod. The owner lost control and rolled it into a field. The owner escaped with minor injuries and the car had minimal damage, that is until the spilled gas caught fire. While he did have an extinguisher it wasn't bolted down and flew out during the roll over. He wasn't able to find it and the car burned to the ground. The towing outfit that hauled it away found it for him. Under the car. :(

Incidentally, I worked at a celebrity-owned restaurant/club in Malibu for about 10 years. One day, while arriving at work, I saw Tony Danza pulling his hair out as he was waiting for Malibu FD to arrive and extinguish his vintage bathtub
Porsche. Had he only had an extinguisher...
