It was basically the same in the USN.mrollings53 wrote:I used to work on F-18's in the Marines and we used Snap-on tools. I think we paid the same amount everyone else does for them. The budget for tools is something that each separate unit handles. And when it comes to aircraft; CO's want to buy more gas for the planes, so when it comes to anything else they are always trying to find ways to spend less. Often times we get our tools straight off the truck like everyone else too.

We sure didn't have anything like that when I was a Lineman in the Air Force. My tools were hand me downs from WWII I think.
Back when they were still flying Bi-planes at Randolph Field.

I have the same hammer but an earlier model. Sounds like its got birdshot in it, works well, won't mar parts and doesn't bounce.F100builder wrote:That's quite a hammer. I...must...buy...one!!!

Re: 236 dollar Snap on Hammer
I actually think the green was some sort of limited editon...
Not that I would pay 236.00 for one but I suppose if you really wanted a new green one that they don't make anymore?
Maybe the dude has one of those green mopars and wanted a hammer to match?

It looks to me to be a left handed, metric hammer. A good tool to work on ecological friendly ricers and Canadian cars.
