Re: i miss my 70
My dad did a good one in the early 80's. He traded a VW Bug strait across for a 65 GTO convertible with Tri Power. A couple years later he traded the GTO for a 240Z because it was better on gas. I still tease him about it.

Best car I had to pass on, an all original black '63 1/2 Galaxie XL 406 4 speed. Woods, your story reminds me of that car, but in hindsight I had neither the funds to buy and restore, nor a secure place for it. Had you been able to keep that Boss 302, would you have had a secure place for it? Better perhaps to say you have owned one (by possession), and made a good sum rather than maybe a story of a stolen one. At least that's what I tell myself about the one that got away!

Re: i miss my 70
Trust me guys, after going through the six tubs of parts for the 4x4 Crewcab 70 i had at one point, i sold becuase the city was breathing hard down my neck, i didn't think i had what i needed for it and the mone was talking pretty good.
all over again?, i'd check the boxes for parts and salvage what i can from a 2 wd f-series to get a crew 4x4 going.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
