Yes 1/2 way through but I bought my first old Mercury and am getting antsy to get it out for a test drive. The truck is in the shop now getting safety inspected for insurance and a new carb etc.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy a lot of aspects of our winters: X/C skiing out in Peter Lougheed, crist fresh air, warm fires with the family after we take the kids sledding, etc etc. The Chinooks are definitly great at breaking up the winter months.
What kind of truck do you have? Maybe you can send me some tips at finding good shops to buy parts or get work done. I have bought a lot of small stuff from NAPA. I have had work done at Unlimited Performance and DelTech. I bought some wire seperaters from JB's. Just also put in a small order from LMC Truck.
A few of my friends that have muscle cars and customs recommended Unlimited Performance and DelTech. Also Cascade Vans and Wheel Masters. I am looking forward to going to the Autorama World of Wheels to see what kind of vendors are in the area and what they offer. Hopefully I will bump into you this Spring/Summer at some of the car shows as I like to look at all the different cars/trucks. I used to have a 72 Chevelle 2 door in high school. Sold it for $400 back in 1983 or so. OUCH!!!

We were kind of spoiled here with a rare three weeks of thirty to forty degree weather through Christmas. Guess we knew there had to be a 'correction' due
That chinook blowing in tomorrow will be welcomed with open arms after the last week of zero to minus twenty or thirty temps. Been driving my '68 most of the winter and she'll start no problem below zero but I plug it in if it's down there just to make it a little easier on the battery, etc.

I got snow And freezing temps shortly after posting... promptly went out and shot a quick video of the first start of the day to post up... didn't get to post or work on the truck any because the power went out... still out, so I sent everyone to a hotel, set up an inverter to run my wimax and wifi in the Kia and am now finally back online on my 9" Android tablet... sitting in the driveway next to WarHorse waiting for the power to come back on.

I'm sure shovelling snow in a t-shirt isn't high on any pleasurable activity lists you guys could make but I had no problem at all with it today. Hit 40 degrees here a couple of hours ago, a 50 degree switch over the span of a few hours, with clear sunny skies. It's all relative I guess...
Now I might have to throw down the roof on the ragtop and go for a drive
