The reason I mentioned the MAP sensor is because the computer takes a sample of the barometric pressure just before the engine is started to compensate for altitude. I have chased this on a celica once and it turned out to be caused by a MAP sensor that was reading 0.3V out of specification and causing the engine to run lean
