Pulled the engine and trans back out and split them apart. Put the engine on the stand so I could install the new cam and give it a good cleaning. Engine looks great inside. Must have been serviced regularly.

It's a gas engine from a 2000 Gmc truck

Last night I got the shifter installed and the engine and trans set back in. I really like the shifter, looks like a stockish floor shifter when you look in the window.

Today I modified the factory trans cross member for the 4L80E. I managed to cut a section out, flip it around and weld it back in. Drilled a hole for the trans mount from the GMC and I was ready to install it in the truck.

You’re taking way less heat over the LS than I expected... It pretty dang cool. I’d like it better with a coyote but it is dang cool as is...

Keep the updates coming, this one should be something when finished...

Ditto, you also have the rare factory rubber lightning bolt mat and it would be very cool if you could reuse the hump section somehow.

Looks great, I also just picked up a 6.0 but with the 4l60. What are you doing for a fuel system?

Aem 380 pump, -6 push lock feed/return. Factory fuel rail/regulator. GM style Push on ends with AN-6 in. Return in the filler neck for now. Hope to cut the bed down and add a fuel tank next year.

Got the wiring done today. Didn't take any pictures.

Here's a picture of what I had to do to get the harness clean. Truck had a pretty bad power steering leak. Pulling the motor was very very messy.

Which tank are you deciding to go with. I have an auxiliary tank on mine but it's rotted out in a couple spots. I'm thinking of going with a new replacement tank and the aeromotive stealth in tank pump. I'm still looking at ideas, seems like there are not too many options out there.
